Vend Product Sync

|Product sync allows you to manage all your products, listings, and prices in your backend Order Management System (OMS) or Warehouse Management System (WMS) and let Extensiv Integration Manager keep your cart up to date with the latest changes. This means you don't need to create and manage your products in two different systems.
Requirements
Product Sync only works if you are using a WMS/OMS that supports Product Detail Pickup.
Timing
Product sync runs on the same frequency as the Inventory Sync. Make sure you have turned on the inventory sync in your Merchant Settings and your Cart Settings. Also make sure you have turned on the Product Sync settings on both of those screens as well. Product sync is defaulted to OFF.
The most common timing for Product/Inventory sync is Hourly. If both your WMS and Cart are set to hourly sync, please allow up to 2 hours for product data to propagate from the OMS/WMS to your cart.
Special requirements / notes
SKUs and Handles
- Each product in Vend has a unique "Handle". We use this handle to link products to your WMS because the Vend SKU field is limited and often cannot perfectly match the SKU in your WMS.
- Integration Manager expects each SKU to uniquely identify a single product. Multiple products with the same SKU will cause issues.
- If you change a SKU in your WMS or in Vend it can break the connection for that product and create a duplicate product. If you absolutely have to do this, be sure to change the SKU in both systems right away.
- SKUs with white space are refused by Vend. As a general rule, never include white space in your SKUs for any system.
- Vend SKUs do not support special characters. It is highly suggested to use ONLY alphanumeric characters for product SKUs. If your backend system already has special characters (like a dash) Integration Manager will attempt to match them by removing the special characters. If Integration Manager is syncing new products to Vend, any special characters will be removed.
Bundle items
- Vend does not support Bundle Items. Any bundle SKUs in your backend system will be ignored during product sync.

Multiple outlets
If you have multiple outlets connected to Integration Manager, only enable Push Product Details for ONE of your outlets in Integration Manager. Enabling product details sync for multiple outlets will lead to issues with your products within Vend.
