Step-by-step guide

Set up XML format

  1. From the Ultracart Home page click on the Configuration tab.
  2. Export configuration under Main Menu --> Configuration -> Order Management -> Exporting Orders

3. Click New and then give your mapping a custom name (we will name ours Integration Manager XML)

4. Select XML (validated against DTD) as the export file format. Then click Save at the bottom.


Set up distribution center:

  1. Go to: https://secure.ultracart.com/merchant/configuration/shipping/distributionCenterListLoad.do
    1. Or to go there manually: go to Configuration > Checkout > Shipping > Distribution Centers
       
  2. Click Edit next to the distribution center that's set, or New Distribution Center to start a new one.
    1. Make sure in the Distribution Center tab that Code, Name, Postal Code, State, and Country are filled out (See Screenshot)
    2. Scroll to the bottom and click Save.

With multiple Distribution Centers, select the one you are sending orders to by clicking the Make Default button as seen below.
 

Set up FTP credentials:

  1. Go to: https://secure.ultracart.com/merchant/configuration/shipping/distributionCenterListLoad.do
    1. Or to go there manually: go to Configuration > Checkout > Shipping > Distribution Centers
       
  2. Click Edit next to the distribution center that's set up.
  3. Go to the Transmission Mechanism tab.
  4. Scroll to and select FTP, set the Mapping you set up before (xml in our case), and set Bidirectional to yes.


 

  1. Scroll to the bottom and click Save.
  2. Click edit on the Distribution Center again and then Go to the FTP Account tab
  3. Note the Login and enter a Password. Click Save.
    1. These fields will be entered into Integration Management to pull orders.

Saving will not work unless the required information in the Distribution Center tab is filled out.

 

Setting up UltraCart in Integration Management

  1. Navigate to Carts > +New Setup > UltraCart > API Information. 
  2. Fill in the required details as shown below.
  3. Click Test to confirm a successful connection. Click OK to save. 

Signature

A signature is supported for UltraCart orders. You can indicate the type of signature that Integration Management should request the 3PL provider to use

To configure the signature confirmation type, go to Carts > UltraCart > Edit Setup > Order Address Settings > Shipping Confirmation Type. 

  • Delivery: The recipient receives a text or email notification upon delivery.
  • Signature: The recipient must sign for the delivery.
  • Adult Signature: The recipient must sign for the delivery and be at least 21 years old.
  • Direct Signature: Someone at the delivery address must sign for the delivery (specific to FedEx).

Order status

Only orders in the Shipping stage for the given Distribution Center will be picked up. Orders created before the distribution center was set up or selected as the default one will not be downloaded unless you move them to the correct Distribution Center.
