Adding Custom Sales Order Fields in Zoho

Zoho's custom fields add increased flexibility for passing non-standard order data to their platform but requires that all custom fields are predefined in their system. You can manage your Sales Order custom fields in Zoho by following these steps.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Log into your Zoho Inventory account.
  2. From the left navigation menu select the Sales Orders option. 
  3. Select the settings icon at the top of the Sales Order screen.
  4. Select Manage Custom Fields from the dropdown menu. This will open the Field Customization side panel.
  5. From the Field Customization side panel select the New button to add a new custom field.
  6. Include a label name and data type. The Text Box (Single Line) data type is recommended for most use cases and supports up to 100 characters. Enter whatever values you would like for the optional Help Text and Default Value fields. 


    Note: Making the field mandatory is discouraged and could potentially prevent orders from reaching Zoho.
  7. Select Save when finished.
