What Does **PII Removed** Mean?
Why do I see PII Removed on some of my orders? Where is the customer data?
Answer
Extensiv Integration Manager must follow the data security and protection requirements of the various platforms we integrate with. Because of this, we are obligated in some situations to remove sensitive customer data from our databases after it is no longer necessary to store that data. You may see **PII Removed** replace the billing and shipping name and address information after an order has shipped. This is to ensure the security of your customer's personal data and to follow privacy laws.
What does PII mean?
PII stands for Personally Identifiable Information. This is any data that can be used to uniquely identify an individual person.
What data is removed?
Any data that can be used to uniquely identify an individual person. This includes: Billing and Shipping customer name, street address, phone, email, and gift messages
How can I get this data back?
You can not get this data back from Integration Manager. Since the order has been shipped, Integration Manager is no longer allowed to store this data. Please reach out to the original order source if you need access to this data.
Which connections will have this PII data removed?
The primary connection that requires the removal of this data is Amazon.
