Understanding Movable Units

A movable unit (MU) is a single, identifiable unit load that you can easily track and move. The most common example of an MU is a pallet, but other examples include cartons, skids, carts, and trailers. You can receive or ship out the entire contents of the MU as a whole, move a full MU within your warehouse, or you can choose to reconfigure products on a movable unit.

MU labels are used to track the movable unit as a whole, as well as any SKUs placed on the unit. You can create your own barcoded MU labels or have the system assign a unique ID when you receive an MU into your facility.

To manage, create, and edit MUs, you must have the following permission assigned to your user role: Administration Module > Manage Movable Units.
