Setting Up Convenience Fees

A Convenience Fee is an additional charge designed to cover the cost of accepting payments via credit card or eCheck (ACH). Third-party logistics (3PL) providers have the flexibility to configure the amount and type of convenience fees. 

Currently, enabling or disabling the convenience fee for individual customers is not supported. This feature will be included in future releases.

 

Step-by-step guide

  1. Go to Settings > General Settings
  2. In the ‘Convenience Fees’ section, click Edit.
  3.  Choose the payment types for which you want to charge convenience fees. You may select both.

    Rules and Laws

    Prior to implementing a convenience fee, ensure compliance with all relevant card brand rules and applicable laws.

     
  4.  Set the fee amount for each payment type, adhering to the limits below:

Limits

  • Credit Card payments - maximum of 4%
  • eCheck (ACH) payments - maximum of 2% or $100, whichever is lower.
  1.  Click Save to apply the changes.

Modifying the rate or amount of convenience fees per customer is not an available option.
